Body composition and lifestyle coaching combines structured training, evidence-informed nutrition guidance, and habit coaching to help you improve how you look, feel, and function — without crash diets, extreme programmes, or unsustainable short-term approaches. The focus is on meaningful, lasting change driven by consistency, education, and a training and lifestyle plan that actually fits around your life.

Nutrition guidance is provided within scope — practical, evidence-based, and focused on building sustainable habits rather than prescribing rigid meal plans. Where clinical nutritional support is required, appropriate referral is made.

This service is for adults and athletes who want to improve body composition, energy levels, health markers, and overall performance through a combination of training, lifestyle change, and sustainable nutrition habits. It is particularly well suited to those who have tried commercial diets or generic group programmes without lasting results, and who want a more individualised, coached approach that fits real life. For athletes, the focus is on managing body composition in a way that supports training and competition, including fuelling for performance, recovery nutrition, and staying consistent across a season without compromising output or wellbeing.

How It Works

  1. Comprehensive Intake — A detailed conversation covering your current lifestyle, eating habits, training history, goals, barriers to change, and what has or has not worked in the past.

  2. Goal Setting and Realistic Expectation Building — Clear, realistic goals are established from the outset. These are outcome-focused but also built around process and behaviour — the things you can actually control.

  3. Training Programme — A structured training plan designed to support your body composition goals, appropriate to your schedule, equipment, and current fitness level.

  4. Nutrition and Habit Coaching — Practical, evidence-based nutritional guidance focused on energy balance, food quality, meal timing, and building sustainable habits. This is education and coaching, not prescriptive meal planning.

  5. Regular Check-ins and Accountability — Weekly or fortnightly check-ins review progress, address barriers, and adjust the approach as needed. Accountability is built into the service from the start.

  6. Long-Term Sustainability Planning — As goals are reached, the focus shifts to consolidation and maintenance that build the habits and understanding needed to sustain your results independently.

frequently asked questions

Is this a diet programme?

No. The focus is on sustainable lifestyle and habit change, supported by training and practical nutrition education. Rigid meal plans are not part of this service — the goal is to help you understand and manage your own nutrition over the long term.

Do I need to track calories or macros?

Not necessarily. Tracking can be a useful tool for some clients, but it is not mandatory. The approach to nutritional monitoring is based on what works for you and your lifestyle.

 

How quickly will I see results?

Sustainable body composition change takes time. Most clients see meaningful changes in how they feel and perform within four to eight weeks, with visible physical changes typically becoming more apparent after eight to twelve weeks of consistent effort.

 

What if I have a complicated relationship with food or my body?

This is acknowledged and handled with care. We do not use language around food or weight that is shaming, extreme, or counterproductive. If clinical nutritional or psychological support is required, appropriate referral will be made.

Can this be combined with another Intentio service?

Yes. Body composition and lifestyle coaching can be integrated with in-person or online coaching, or run alongside a programme-only service. The most effective structure for your situation will be discussed during the initial consultation.
